Sesame Pork

Sesame Pork
(This works well as a meatball, a skewer, or just an easy saute!)

Ingredients:
-2lbs Ground Pork
-1/4c Toasted Sesame Oil
-1/4c Soy Sauce or Liquid Aminos
-2tbs Garlic Paste (or minced/powdered garlic)
-1 Egg (only necessary if making a meatball skewer, to hold together)

That's it!
I find this recipe tastes best if you blend on the ingredients and let them sit together for an hour or more before cooking.

For meatballs - shape into small, tightly packed shapes and pan fry in 2-3 tbs of avocado oil, OR bake at 375degrees for 20-25mins until cooked through, OR boil as part of a warm soup (butter, sauteed onions, and chicken stock makes for a quick and tasty meal).

For skewers - use a handful of ground pork blend, squeeze in your palm around a wooden skewer under packed firmly. Grill or oven-bake on 425 degrees until cooked through.
(*Pro-tip - soak wooden skewers in water for 1+ hours before use, to avoid burning)

As a simple saute, I enjoy this most with sauteed onions, until browned, and served over veggies!

Can you use pork tenderloin instead of ground pork? And I'm wondering if this would be a good marinade and then slow cook the pork?? I've been using a lot of your recipes lately to get back to more sensible eating and it's been great! Thanks for providing all of your creativeness in the kitchen!

That's a great question, I bet it would work really well in the slow cooker with the same measurements above! If you used it as a marinade to smoke, grill, or roast, I would probably double this recipe to have more liquids, and more flavor along with them.
I'll have to give it a try next time I get a shoulder! Let me know if you give it a try before I do!
